If retail is failing, why don’t numbers show it?

If retail is failing, why don’t numbers show it?

Peru will be fine because of
WalMart, auto dealerships
and hardware stores.

FYI
Chipotle shut down a restaurant in Virginia on Monday and one in Washing D.C. on Tuesday following reports of customers becoming ill. This information was gathered from wgntv.com.

And restaurants and Target and car dealers and furniture stores and Starbucks and jewelry stores and pet stores and clothing stores.......what a horrible town we live in!

So 2:13 we should not have Chipotle here in Peru because someone in Virginia got sick right? Right. Congratulations on citing your source. If you don't like it, don't go.

2:13 Thank you, now if we could all follow our GPS's directions from the East Coast back to Peru, Illinois and limit comments to the designated subject.

I can't wait for Chipotle because I'm always constipated.

6:32 I am 2:13 and I was only providing information. Where are you reading that I suggested Peru was a horrible town and where did I say we should not have a Chipotle? You're rude, arrogant, and obviously bitter. I myself will be hesitant about eating at a Chipolte only because of what I have heard and read. Since this is America everyone is entitled to their own opinion and free to eat where they want. FYI stands for "For Your Information" and that's all!!

1:33. Sorry, not being rude or bitter. You are right that there was nothing wrong with your particular comment. My issue is this blog exists solely to degrade Peru and struggles to do so. Our town is not perfect but if LaSalle got a Chipotle, the few would criticize Peru but we get a business - any business - and it is ridiculed. Basically every post on here is negative and intended to be just that. It is sad and sick and it just gets old. Apologies to you then.

Why can't peru's corrupt economic developer bring in business that will be around like factories, and Warehouse facilities? Or did Harl just ask him to bring in food business? We need good paying jobs brought to Peru , not diahrea !

Because he is busy enriching himself and his properties!

What does the Mayor of Peru do towards the promotion of Peru? It appears that Peru has many hired hands that do not have a direct relationship to Peru and that many of these are promoting other than the city.
These hired hands should be done away with as the 13 or so wooden propaganda signs were claiming responsibility for city road improvements. What was the cost of those signs and who paid for them?

Bringing jobs to Peru, LaSalle or any other city in the IV is hard. what do you bring light manufacturing? Every city wants those jobs. How about Tech jobs, the work force is not trained, so the company looking to locate here will see there is not a trained work force and will move on to another city.
to complain that the city is not working towards this you not being informed. those jobs come through Springfield not 4th and Fulton.
