Evening hours could boost Ottawa retailers: '70 percent of retail spending takes place after 6 p.m'
In other the way that towns used to exist is what the younger people of today really want. Peru has always said we can't do this or that because of the location of businesses along that line of travel I have always wondered and don't know if it would work but the 2 main streets in Peru also have parking lots in the back, is there any way we could utilize them and encourages businesses to build on the adjacent streets and on Peoria? Constructive ideas only needed.

The city got a dollar general to build on Peoria St just like you are suggesting. All people did was complain about it.
I'm interested 3:37. Who complained and what was the complaint?
If you ever have gone on 4th street you will see that we have many small businesses that prefer the 9-5 grind. To open later hours is entirely up to those businesses, not your city councils. Some of you believe that city government controls all of the business and commerce. The majority of business is conducted in north Peru, and those places have late hours, open holidays and generate plenty of sales. The topic is a good topic for those that have downtowns that are central areas of retail. That's not Peru.
