Childrens Playground Equipment Unavailable to Kids of Peru

I was recently told about the fact that the recently purchased equipment that the  younger children of Peru were using which was located next to the former Washington School was no longer available to the kids in town.

Drive by the equipment now which is located directly west of the parking lot.  You will see unuseable newer equipment unused because it is fenced off from use and surrounded by weeds and all kinds of residue.

Anyone know why this wasn't moved over to where the rest of the playground equipment is on the west side of the park?

I see that the northeast corner of the new park has a layer of asphalt down. I thought that was the future home corner for the new Peru swimming pool.

Anyone see a layout available to the public yet?

For some reason Peru has had its problems with city playground equipment. The Maze family donated money for equipment and property to build a recreation facility in the southeastern part of Peru. Took coaxing but finally completed.
Newer playground equipment from Roosevelt School given to Peru gov't but instead of using equipment in Peru given to Dalzell for usage.
Complete children's recreational set located west of girls softball field in Veterans Park next to agricultural field. Perfect location for children to share unkempt grounds with snakes and whatever animals from the farmland.
Now this fenced in playground equipment for the near $2,000,000 waterpark.........? $2,000,000 when Streator is building a water park for $265,000 and Ottawa built a waterpark for less than a $100,000.
Is there anywhere else Peru could properly use some of this excess than put all of it in a water park?

That equipment is nicer than any we have in our more popular parks (Washington, Sunset, McKinley, Centennnial, 28th St.) and it's sitting idle? Can someone from city hall explain why this is? Thank you!

How easy do you think it is to move equipment?

It is only going one season without use.

Do you really want kids playing in a construction zone?

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW CALL CITY HALL!

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW CALL CITY HALL! Now there's the brightest answer of all! Is the real answer that buying playground equipment now instead of later a cover up of the water parks budget? Yes playground equipment may not seem like a lot of money but what if you are doing this with 20 or 30 different items, maybe selling a item for cash or having it delivered to a private party and keeping the second identical item bought out of grant money for intended purpose.

Sure 8:35. It's a cover up. Of course it is. For the 1,000th time, if you are going to make ridiculous accusations then back it up with something.

The person was making the point that you are asking a question to the great void. The correct thing to do is ask someone who actually knows the answer to your question, if it is that important to you. It may not be the answer you want to hear, but it is the right answer.
