I'd like to know how often has the CSO picked up litter in Peru or is this kind of a mockery of the wonderful job Mr. Perez has been doing for our city on a weekly basis?
If you read this article carefully in the tribune you will note that a CSO member states that "any problems and concerns regarding drinking" are not because of their beer tent. I thought alderman Ankiewicz adamently repeated their have been no problems on Water Street and had the police chief confirm his statement.
12:36pm Perhaps they should have added "in my opinion" The Alderman did say that and much to my surprise the Police chief said that when he has said the opposite until the last time Perez brought the matter up once again. Since so many officials in the city are CSO members, do you suppose the people saying there is no problem are also members. Perhaps before they voice an opinion, people should publicly state whether they are or are not members because it does matter. And what about all the other people through the years that have seen and heard with their own eyes the poor behavior and drunkenness on Water Street. It didn't really happen even though many eye witnesses have come forth with what they have seen and heard. I do believe them.
Wow!!! It looks like the CSO is following the example of Perez and picking up trash within Peru. I heard from a member that they had 4 to 5 members hanging flags and 3 picking up trash? Where were the other 392 members at? either this was a last minute political maneuver to bash Perez or the others don't show up unless there is alcohol. I did not have a sense of a warm fuzzy feeling of community giving out of this political stunt from the CSO, Perhaps if they never mentioned how they paid for the American Flags but by " BEER GARDEN MONEY" and just left this as volunteering I would have a bit more respect for their action on Saturday. But I guess when I see the RED, White and Blue flags hanging from the poles we know who provided them... The "Water Street Drunks"
2:27 Let's not insinuate that all the members are like the Deli Maker (Sausage Puller). Trust me folks!! Most of us know that the Deli Maker(sausage puller) and the Barber set the show at the council meeting last week. I wasn't there but knew it was coming the next time an Alderman brought it up.
Most of us "members" Try and stay as far away from the Sausage Puller as we can but He seems to be like bad bacteria on a deli counter.
There are probably more members agreeing with the way the Alderman is handling this than the Sausage puller is. We just sit back and listen to how the Deli Maker is trying to instigate bigger problems for the Alderman but the Deli Maker can't see that it is blowing up in His/ Our Face.
Please don't take this out on all of us, some try to make a difference.
ANON 4:32 you are absolutely right. We should not insinuate that the whole organization acts the same as the Deli Maker. We must remember one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole *** bunch.
what rude comments you people make, leave them alone, is almost as bad as they mayor making the comment about donating some of his money?? would the mayor would anybody. what a bunch of losers you all are. get a life instead of posting on this blog get out in your neighborhood and pickup things that shouldnt be there, then you can say you actually did something worthwhile
4:32 Better yet, How about.. 1 Rotten Egg doesn't mean the whole dozen is rotten. The problem is that, one Rotten Egg makes the rest in that carton smell bad.

I'm sorry to point this out to you but, What is the difference what you just did compared to what these other posts have done? You have the choice to get on this blog. You do have the freedom to not get on here.
