Another good example and representation of Peru and it's programs? What's wrong with this so called "leader of the valley".

The article should be a "teaching" moment for all parents & coaches of young athletes. This is absolutely the wrong behavior from adults & coaches. They will probably go after the reporter from the News Trib now!

Hello, my name is Megan Keeney, wife of Coach Ron Keeney, mother of a player on the team, member of Peru Little League Board, and member of the Central Regional Tournament Committee. I am not "going after" the reporter, however, he did not have all of the facts and his slanderous column was inaccurate and inappropriate. And yes, I have submitted a letter to the Open Forum.

Talk to people from the surrounding area. They always have problems with Peru coaches and fans. Not a good representation of Peru and makes the people look really bad.

The surrounding area people's problem is that Peru consistently produces good teams. Whether anyone respects the fans or coaches, the Peru teams prevail in the area. Right or wrong, jealousy does play a factor in their opinions. And Peru doesn't need help from the sports folks to look bad, they've been doing a fine job of that on their own. Call it contagious.
