Was just looking through the monthly invoices in tonight's meeting packet that will be approved tonight without a single question or inquiry from any alderman. Almost $9,000 for a workstation for an administrative assistant in the public works department is just one of dozens of excessive charges that are apparent each and every month I look at these things. These knuckleheads are spending so much freakin money every month it is hard to fathom how they can maintain such a blistering pace of foolish spending. Harl and his henchmen are deliberately spending like madmen to stimulate Peru's economy. It's insane but it has to be what they are attempting to do. They have created and are maintaining a micro-economy within Peru based solely on and fueled by municipal government spending. It's now regulary up to more than $2.5 Million monthly that they are spending. No wonder they need to do a money-grab on that Peru Township tax levy. They are digging deep holes people.
Why are we trying to kick the Army Reserve out of Peru? I think it is beneficial having that group stationed in Peru. Their equipment could also be beneficial in the event of an emergency.
Again - WHY is our local government trying to shut this Reserve Center down!
Exactly what made up the $9,000 workstation? Wow, thought you could get the top of the line with all software and peripheral equipment for under $1,000. Holy Moly!!!
