Lois, the video from last Mondays meeting is on the city website now. Everybody needs to watch it to see and hear how you were treated by our city representatives when you asked a question about the new PE. Remember this for the next elections.
The next election for alderperson is 21 months off and the next Mayor/alderperson election 45 months off. This is way too long a period to wait for answers and the amount of harm done in that time could and will be devastating. The reaction to Lois personally and to her outstanding questions are a example how me and you could be treated if it is one of us asking the next time. Too Lois' credit she did not let them intimatate her and she stood up to all of them. The proof is in the council meetings video. Attorney Doug Schwieickert was a oustanding example to his profession, experience and education in his answering of Lois' questions. Aldermen Rodney Perez once again showed that he is a Aldermen of the People and a true guardian of the city and its citizens. For some of the other city officials how does it feel to get pushed around by a little 74 year old Grandma. Maybe you'll think twice before you gang up on anyone again. People remember that even if political injustice does not pertain to you the next time it could. Become a little more politically active to protect your own rights and the rights of others.
Please 3:37 stop the drama. I watched the video and the Mayor, Council members were not attacking Lois. Many were trying to explain her question. I have no particular favorites and your statement about intimidation was bias. As a resident I appreciate the fact that she is asking questions. I also appreciate the fact that many of the current officials also asked questions during the video, many of them also explained their vote. I doubt it was a complement to Lois to define her as a 74 year old grandma, I think she would prefer informed resident. Maybe you don't agree with the hiring of the SPW. But, really this was a G rated material and nothing more.
Anon 10:57 I along with many others watched the video and all of us agreed that the Mayor and certain council members attacked Lois as they have done many times before. To settle the matter let's ask Lois. Lois do you believe that 3:37 is resorting to darma or do you truthfully believe that the Mayor, Council members were carrying on in a unprofessional manner to you? Lois do either Linda, Jill or you believe that you have been treated in a professional manner at all times during city council meetings and what do you think the reason attendance of citizens has decrease so tremendously?
