Rude Mean and Disrespectful NOT Allowed

You are welcome to agree or disagree but please do it in a manner that is respectful to those who are reading this blog and contributing their ideas or searching for answers.

Evidently there is someone who cannot read the small print at the top of this forum, my fingers are tired of deleting your small minded rude comments. If you wish to denigrate Steve and other candidates, I suggest you initiate your own blog and keep it open especially for that type of retort.

My apologies to my readers for posting the last several comments. I thought if I did put them on, that person might understand I was being a considerate person but it just seems to have increased the nastiness of the comments.

So whoever you are and I have my suspicions, I have a message. Go away and don't bother me, Steve and anybody else reading this blog. At least get a book and read about etiquette.

I agree with your comments but I would also wish that you took a stance that is universal . Why allow Steve to bad mouth many of the past administrators and get away with it by publishing HIS SIDE ONLY while others comments are not permitted ?
Are you really supporting a blog that has clear views from both sides of an issue or will you be bias and only accept those views from others that agree with you ?

Why don't you also publish this note for YOUR READERS to see ? Maybe you are afraid of the TRUTH !

Steve is not bad mouthing other candidates. We are all giving our opinions of the decisions made by the current group of council members and once elected they are fair game so to speak. If you want to give honest fair opinions of decisions made by anyone in government local state or national, I will print it.
My problem with the nasty comments is that they are aimed at an individual, not for his opinions but just because this person does not like him. If she wishes to defend Baker that is OK but this is not an honest defence but only done to make the Mayor look bad. Believe me I know what I am doing and just trying to keep the upcoming election any nastier than it is going to be.
There are ways to present your point of view without offending half of the city of Peru and in fact most of the world wide readers of this blog.

3,524 visits came from countries/territories (a 30 day report of readers of the blog)
This is to back up what I am doing for all readers and not just a selected few who get joy from spewing hateful comments.

And furthermore, Steve always signs his name on his postings and if anyone signs their real name and I can verify it, the comment is more likely to be posted.

8:46 a.m. - I know it is seen by some as "badmouthing". I understand and appreciate you point. I see it as criticism. I know I am extremely critical of many current and former city officials. I am critical because I am convinced that these officials have done a very poor job protecting the interests of the people of Peru. A very poor job of holding the previous Mayor and City Clerk accountable and responsible for open and honest financial reporting. A poor job of conducting city business fairly and impartially, without influence from long time insiders. A poor job of putting in the hard work and heavy lifting with the time and effort that is so critical to ever moving this city forward. Yes, I'm critical and mad as hell about all of it.
Lois does a fine job of allowing more than one side of an issue to be expressed. I hope you're not suggesting that Lois post the many hateful and personal insults that serve no real purpose. I know there are people out there who despise me personally, but that hatred alone does not entitle them to submit personal insults on this blog. I think if you saw some of these sick comments you would understand her position. 90% of all comments are biased to some extent. That's o.k. Of course I am biased. You are biased. We all have our own opinions which create our bias. We are all entitled.

8:46 If you feel that this blog is not being fair by not printing some of your negative comments you might like to try the other blog "Change for Peru". Maybe that site would allow your comments to be posted.
