Cost of China trip sparks online ire for Peru

This article and the comments made in it still do not explain the huge difference in the cost of the tickets purchased by Peru and Ottawa officials. To me it looks as though the Peru mayor is putting the blame on the council for approving the trip and its' cost. I do wonder if any of them questioned why the cost of the tickets was so high or if any of them investigated the cost of tickets to China before voting yes. Some one informed me that alderman Ferrari voted NO.

Please check how much Ferrari has spent on his trips in the last several years. Then defend.

Mayor Harl has stated he will give a explanation of his expenses on Jan 21 at a city council meeting. For those who have a interest this meeting should be a must to build a solid foundation for a opinion. It must be remembered that Harl did not travel alone. The other self proclaimed man of the world should also give a report of justification for his expenses when he has added nothing to Peru's development.

I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic but I do want people who want answers to know that the actual date for Harl's report on the trip is Jan. 22nd. And, I'm pretty sure we won't get an accounting of his excessive expenses. I also wonder, out of curiosity, why it takes 2 months to write a report on the trip?????

Now city officials are going to attend a conference in Las Vegas. No wonder we can't get things done around town we're too busy visiting other states and countries.
