Why shop in Peru when we can go to the surrounding cities and get the same things!

If Mr Perez has the second ward in his back pocket to support a sales tax increase then I guess next election for him will also be one of a short time served. He is OUT.
How many people are unemployed in the city, how many are on food stamps, how many folks are using the food pantry in town ?
I have NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A STUPID IDEA OR RECOMMENDATION IN THESE ECONOMIC TIMES.
Who would use our roads if they all shop out of town ????
