According to an article in the news tribune Peru will be spending approximately #148,000 for a concession stand/restroom facility for McKinley Park. How do you feel about spending this amount of money for a ball park with one baseball diamond? It almost feels as though you could buy a house for less than that? Opinions??
The city jokers better watch our pocket books or they will be out. They can afford this but can't take care of simple maintenance at Washington park. LaSalle and Oglesby baseball fields put us to shame!
You could buy a house for a lot less or a for lot more. Yes, you can buy a house for less than $148K but why do you want to put a house on a ball diamond?
Why blame the city? A public restroom has many issues that make the price look to be high. Factor in ADA requirements, the nature of a park public restroom and durability. I guess you could put a hole in the ground and keep the cost low?
