Despite this new law, I believe that the Township cannot be dissolved unless the entire county votes to dissolve the township system. There is already a law on the books that maps out how to change the county structure and do away with the antiquated "do nothing" township boards.
However, the townships have learned and have lobbyists and organizations to distort their importance, relying on propaganda and exaggerations that the townships represent "true democracy" bla bla bla. They are nothing but a redundant waste of tax dollars.

Now lets just wait a minute. I am going to be seventy six my next birthday and finally considered old enough to run for Township Trustee and you want to take my $250 per meeting away. I've waited a long time for the chance to join in on this free buck policy. If everybody gets their turn who is it hurtin'. I do consider this township true democracy.
