4:19 pm They do have an airport, Whiteside County Airport located there but no Concerts for a Cause only concerts for the residents all summer. I wish someone would do a survey and tell me what the actual percentage is of Peru residents who attend the airport concerts during the Concerts for a Cause. Most of us don't consider any of those concerts an actual cause, they should call them a benefit because they mostly benefit the sponsor.
Thank you Lois you have just pinpointed that Sterling does not have a airport but that Whiteside County does, as Peru should not have a airport but LaSalle County could possibly have one. It should be located better and the entire county should share expenses. Presently it is a hobby land for a few, is not located properly and managed by Peru city officials who do not have a clue.
Anon 6:22 Also the Peru airport has been the pot of gold for a local consulting engineering firm. Between the airport and the city this firm has had generations of easy pickens.
Does the Sterling area have a airport with a Concert for a Cause?
