Lotus Beds Near Starved Rock
this is a newspaper clipping from 1932 and speaks of rare Lotus Beds near Ottawa and Starved Rock, does anyone know of these and are they still in the area.
I believe the beds were lost because of mining activity east of Utica. I once had a postcard showing the beds and may still have it. It's rather ordinary as it doesn't show anything except a mass of the plants. If you enter "lotus beds" on e bay, you'll find some postcards of a similar nature.
