If you are having a problem sending posts
Beginning yesterday some people were unable to post and have their comment publish on the blog , if you are one of them, please email to mypointofviewlc@gmail.com so I can determine is this is a widespread problem or not. Thanks.
Is the new "Protector of Posts and Postings" a job that was advertised in the paper ? Has the ordinance he's enforcing ever been published ? Looks like another example of cronyism to me unless the job requires special skills.
Logically he would be working under he direction of Frank Taylor, our asst. building inspector, so I guess we need to ask him. I believe there was a conversation at a council meeting with Frank and he told them no signs allowed anywhere. I don't think garage sale signs were discussed but evidently they are included.
I wish someone would explain this sign ordinance. Apparently small garage sale signs (which are usually up for only a day or 2) are being removed and thrown away. However, large signs with Miller Lite advertised on them (which have been up for weeks) are okay? Will someone please explain this madness? I think it's absurd. And if this is an ordinance and always has been an ordinance how come we're just enforcing it now without notification to the general public?
Regarding the inability to post for some, it appears that there is a definite conflict between some versions of IE and this google blog. If this has happened to you using a different browser like Firefox or Sea Monkey will allow you to post. Some of the others I am sure will also work, it is just IE.
Lois did you get this post?
ReplyDelete9:14 AM Yes I received it. Thanks.
