About Time Someone in Springfield Had Their Thinking Cap ON
NEW LAW: Public meeting agendas must be ‘sufficiently descriptive’ to let the public know what might happen. (Public Act 97-0827)
This unique idea would probably eliminate a lot of problems. I know it would have been helpful had the rec commission done this with regards to "pickle ball". It's too bad government took so long figuring this one out. Will local government follow this new law?
I wonder if we can video committee meetings. Tonight I went to the public property committee mtg followed by the city council mtg and I assure you that they would have made excellent videos for this blog. This a night to be proud of a couple of your aldermen and a night to wonder very seriously about the other elected officials. I will let the N.T. cover and be back with my comments tomorrow.
Great idea! How about the monthly meeting that Peru's Fire Dept./Liberty fire Co. has at the fire department. Public should be able to attend those and videotape also. Those meetings are on a Wednesday night once A month. Any departments meetings should be open to the taxpayers in any city.
