What will happen to Peru with Harl and all his political wheeling and dealing coming to an end next April. I ask becuase as we all know Harl made a pledge to all his supporters before being elected that he would serve a maximum of two terms as Peru mayor. How will Peru ever survive without Harl and his evil twin Super Chief Doug Bernabei.
Unless of course Harl proceeds to break another campaign promise to those who made him mayor. I think this one is a No-Brainer.

The phony mayor of Peru has broken every campaign promise he ever made and he continues to operate more and more behind closed doors infusing politics and corruption into every situation within the city. A very disgusting character indeed.

Well there's 2 votes against! Keep up the good work!

Why aren't we discussing the appointment for first ward alderman? Why was Ballard chosen over the other 3 candidates?

Harl will be Mayor until he finds an convenient opening and get appointed to another position. One with the State perhaps. Something with a bigger paycheck and bigger pension.

Can anyone answer Sept. 28th's 9:22 question as to why Ballard was the chosen one? I have heard some, not so pleasant, comments regarding the decision but because I have no proof I will not repeat them. With regards to Mayor Harl surely he will not break another promise he gave, to those who elected him, and run for another term of office unless he is forced to because no one will run against him.

I see, according to last night's paper, the mayor has broken another promise and taken out a petition to run for office for a 3rd term.
