Welcoming the newest blog in Peru dedicated to the Peru Township but not setup or maintained by the current twp. officials.

How great this will be. A day late and a dollar short of the election. Let me say that there are so many people who are unaware of perus town forum blog site. Everybody who participates in this forum needs to tell their friends. All the people of Peru should be involved in what's happening in their city. Not everybody can attend council meetings or township meetings.

The swimming pool has been demolished without funds to build a new one for years. The city has placed a unknown amount of money into the city hall basement for a BB gun club and the Chief of PPD is campaigning for another $90,000 for a training room in the basement.
For two years numerous citizens have been asking to build a splash pad for a age group that presently has no water recreation in Peru. The money already put into the basement with the proposed amount to be put into the basement is approximately what was needed for a splash pad. What part of this picture is so hard to understand?

It just proves that special interests continue to prevail here in the city of Peru. If it's not in the north end of the city or in the basement of city hall (the new found recreation for special interests) you won't get it done and at this point in time, you may not even get some one to listen to you.
