Harl has my vote

It appears as though Mr. Hart is well aware of the needs of the residents of Peru and the changes that need to be made. Good luck Mr. Hart.

It's all about the alderman. What kind of relationship is he going to have with the alderman?

It is one sad day for Peru when the aldermen determine solely what type of city we will have. I will vote for strong leadership by the Mayor and one who will maintain a good relationship with ALL the residents of the city when possible. RESPECT

alderman vote on ALL the issues, we mustn't forget that. Therefore if he has a bad relationship with the alderman than any vision he may have could get silenced.

All aldermen need to know that when the residents vote in a new Mayor, it is their responsibility to forget past loyalties and to remember that as elected officials their responsibility is to work to maintain and improve the city and that will require them to work with the new Mayor.
This is something they did not do as their loyalty remained with Mayor Baker and they cared nothing about what their responsibilities were
in working with the new administration. After awhile the new mayor simply joined them and in turn he has behaved the same way to the new aldermen Perez and Mayszak as he had been treated by the aldermen. Instead of welcoming them, he has treated them as he was treated. Of course Ald. Lukosus was treated differently because he agreed with the mayor at every step of the way. They have become bosom buddies.
Aldermen Potthoff, Ankiewicz, Ferrari, Waldorf, Lukosus and Radtke can all share some of the blame for today. I include Radtke because he along with Lukosus seem to be part of Team Harl. Watch the videos closely and listen closely. Tell me what you are hearing.

The Aldermen are responsible for the sensible way the city operates. I thank those mentioned for the fiscal policies, financial oversight, professional representation and common sense leadership many have shown the residents of Peru for many years. I feel sorry for those who believe in blog site to set their agenda in the City of Peru. They indeed represent a very small minority of individuals that sole objective is personal gain or personal attention.

Sorry to inform you I don't get or want either. There is no gain to writing this blog except to be able to let people know what is going on in the city. Maybe some satisfaction, that I see things being swept under the rug and to bring them forth. Attention sorry most people who write in or read this blog do not know me and I like it that way.

Most political advertising postcards are the same size and the information will be pertinent to that candidate alone. So to whomever thinks it is like one you got 4 years from the Harl campaign, I want to say, it's not.
Perhaps they used the same publisher. Absolutely no connection.

Lois, Personal Agenda of control is the term 3:23 should have used.

Anon 3:23 This blogs homesite is in Peru, Illinois which is nothing similar to the government you are decribing. Did you think we were from Peru, Indiana or Peru, New york?
The only thing I can say good about most of Peru, Illinois government and its city officials is Yesterdays Gone!

I've always had respect for Dave Potthoff. He was the only official to stand apart from the rest is what I've always gathered from reading the paper and listening to WLPO.
I've been watching meeting videos and must express my disappointment with what I see, read and hear week after week. The only two officials who I have respect for are the two that are fighting against the rest. Mayor Scott Harl is a sad excuse for a Mayor who should have this city under control, but doesn't. I'm liking what I'm reading and hearing in regards to Mr. Hart. I'm willing to take the chance on him.

Goodby Mr. Harl I will NOT be voting for you. The sooner your gone the better.

To Lois, all of your comments and now support for Mr. Hart are the VERY SAME support/comments you stated for Mr. Harl. Don't you remember?

My advice to you and other folks who had supported Mr. Harl should all be proud of the mess we are in and the disaster your vote have provided for us and our children.

I cannot take your word or support to mean very much on any of the issue you aspire to because of what you and your band of women have created in our city.

What a pathetic shame we have lived these past 4years.

We need Don Baker back in the saddle to GET THE CITY MOVING NOW FASTER THEN BEFORE IT WAS when the band of ladies destroyed it.

Vote April 9 for integrity, honesty, financial wisdom , and most of all a city to be proud of again leading the valley as the BEST.
No one mayoral candidate EXCEPT Don Baker has a futuristic vision for our city. Lets Get moving again Vote Baker .

6:37 I am apparently a member of Lois's so called band of women who have created the mess our city is in today. Yes, 4 years ago it was time for a change and at that time I felt Mr. Harl was the right choice. He said all the right things and made all the right promises. Am I disappointed, do I like being called our at meetings by him? Of course not. Have we created the mess? NO! Our leaders make all the decisions. Lois's band of women does not. If Mr. Baker is your choice it's your business as my vote is mine.

6:37 Thanks so much for the great name for the women of Peru, The Band of Women. I have been trying to come up with a clever name for the women in Peru who are trying to make a difference in government and supporting Sherry Mayzak for alderman. If will work perfectly for signs and political ads for the newspaper. Go Sherry, you have the band of women behind you and together we will make a difference. Thanks again 6:37!

Sherry Mayszak said...

I am honored to have The Band of Women supporting me. These women are awesome! I'm sure it was these kinds of women who fought to give women the right to vote. We are women, hear us roar!!!!!

Baker had his time - Harl is no good - I'll take Hart.

This is just amazing. " The Band of Women" associated with creating a mess in the city by voting for Scott Harl and now they are proud of what they did.

That is why ladies , we get no respect. Once we make a mistake, we don't learn from our mistakes but we double down on the same.

I do not want to be associated as a women with the band of "loser" women. Good Luck Sherry !

The Band of Women did not exist prior to Scott Harls election, it was more like a band of ? out there creating the issues that have finally come to light. In fact it only came into existence last night when someones non existent claims from the Baker supporters emerged. You do an excellent job of distorting the truth, but that is nothing new.

Linda said...

8:09 If you think this Band of Women are the ones who got Mr. Harl elected you give them too much credit. Did they work for and believe he was the best choice at the time - yes! Do they admit he has disappointed them - yes! Once again did they create the mess - no! Maybe your neighbor or your spouse or your mother or someone else close to you also voted for Mr. Harl. Remember, only the person in that voting booth knows the absolute truth of who they voted for. If you're for another candidate that is your right and I will not chastise you for it. So please let the "Band of Women" support whoever they please and let's all hope whoever wins respects ALL citizens rights and does what's best for Peru.

Looks a lot like Mayor Harls campaign from last election except he never resorted to personal attacks, just gives some insight to Harts personality.

Anonymous said...

The unions got Harl elected last time. Let's hope all people wake up and not believe anymore B.S.. What a shame that we got lied to the way we did!

Anonymous said...

Who's attacking who? Nobody has said anything negative about another candidate here except that they were disappointed. That's a fact and a feeling not a personal attack and it has nothing to do with Mr. Hart.

Hart is not attacking, merely stating the truth

baker had his time and did some good things in the past even though he is like the wizard of oz behind the curtain yet with the ald. the ald. didn't play nice with harl so he had to stoop to their level, and alot of todays problems are a result of choices made by baker or lack of. baker is not the answer or savior here people so don't get caught up in the kool ade. hart might not be the total answer to the prayers but he has a better grasp on things than our council does now and has a better understanding on what needs done for our betterment of our city. hart won't throw anyone under the bus but he will tell you what our issues are and what we need to do to fix them. you want the truth on things or someone telling you what you wanna hear, you decide. go get'm mike!

Hylla is very good at telling people what they want to hear.
