Thanks to the Girl Scouts

girl scout troop 1267 cleaned up Washington park on Thurs, just FYI, so you won't have to do too much there. They did a great job, I must say, for a group of third graders. :)

That is awesome! That's a win-win. The girls learn responsibility and about giving back to the community and the park gets cleaned up and looks nice for all to enjoy. Thanks girls!

Thank you girls and leaders!

The CSO cleaned the area called North Peoria Street early Sunday morning. They had 20 plus bags of trash. I guess they are more than a group of beer touting 3rd of July beer garden leaders!

Thank you for letting us know and thanks for the cleanup and certainly not in the nicest weather.

3:38 Can you tell us all what they did after clean up? If you can't I can tell you which tavern they were at because I was there, it was before Noon. So you are correct they are also April 29th beer touting Plank road drinkers too.

Anon 3:38... I can tell you what I did after I helped with the cleanup. I had breakfast and went to church with my family. And if you were at the tavern already (before noon) sounds like you may be an April 29th beer touting Non Plank Road Cleaning sit on your butt and complain about everything drinker. So back to the topic of this thread...GOOD JOB GIRL SCOUTS AND LEADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anon 7:01 We are all impressed with your bar watching skills. The CSO is a group of volunteers who just picked up a busy and garbage filled ravine. They didn't request photos, nobody posted photos of garbage bags on facebook, they didn't drive the city bus, they just got dirty and wet picking up a area in Peru. If a few decided to have a cold beverage after the cleanup, thats their right. Just like its your right to spend Sunday morning on a bar stool. Thanks God we still have organizations like the CSO.

Thank you CSO and girl scouts however, CSO 9:54 was it necessary for you to throw digs at other city members who also helped to clean up our city? That comment and dig, in my opinion, downgrades your reputation as an organization. Shame on you! All volunteers and the work they do should be equally applauded.
